How much does a live-in carer cost?

The cost of live-in care is dependent on the level of support you or your loved one requires.

We cover the full range of home care services available, so our costs are based on your precise needs and requirements, whether it’s providing companionship, personal care, help administering medication or support with more complex healthcare requirements.

Our prices for 24-hour support from a live-in carer start from:

  • £950 per week for a single person

  • £1,100 per week for a couple

Please call us today to get a quote for your specific care needs. One of our advisers will give you an estimate over the phone there and then. With us you can be guaranteed of no hidden extras or surprise costs later on.

The final price for your live-in care will be confirmed once your local care specialist has visited you in person to fully assess your needs.

We can also advise on the funding options that may be open to you, either from your local authority or through continuing healthcare funding with the NHS

Respite care costs

If your usual carer needs a break or has let you down, we can provide a carer on a temporary basis for you, sometimes called respite care.

Respite care can be arranged for a minimum of three days. The prices are:

  • For 7-14 days: from £250 per day

  • For 3-6 days: from £350 per day

If you need a temporary carer for more than 14 days, see the prices outlined above for live-in care.

Clear, up-front prices, with no hidden fees

There are no hidden fees. And, because we’re fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and put so much care and attention into training our carers, we provide a quality service and home care you can rely on.

Our visiting care service is arranged around what you require. Everybody is different and that’s why we take the time to understand your unique requirements.

With home visits from as little as 30 mins per week and up to several a day, as well as the option of overnight support, we have the experience and flexibility to meet your care needs.

And because our service is so flexible, you can easily shrink or grow how much support you’re receiving, if or when your needs change.

Visiting care fees

We know how important it is for you to have a clear picture of your care fees. So we provide a simple, straightforward breakdown from the very start.

Call us today to discuss your home care needs and get a full quote for visiting care. Our friendly team of advisors is here seven days a week to take your call and walk you through all the options.

Your quote for visiting care will be confirmed once your local care assessor has visited you at home to finalise your care plan and double-check we have everything is covered.

Getting a clear picture of your funding options

Understanding your home care funding options can be daunting, that’s why we try to keep it simple.

We will always be upfront and transparent about our home care costs, and in the first instance can give you an approximate quote over the telephone. We’re not a care agency so you don’t have to worry about agency fees or retainers. Once our Local Care Manager has visited you in your home, to meet face-to-face and check we’ve got everything covered, we’ll confirm the cost of your care package. There are no hidden costs or lengthy notice periods to complicate matters at a time that is stressful enough.

Home care costs will differ depending on your needs. Visiting care is charged at an hourly rate, with live-in care quoted on either a daily rate for short term respite or weekly rate for ongoing care. We can discuss the level of care that is right for you and whether the cost of home care is financially sustainable for you and your family.

Although most of our families are paying for their care privately there may be the opportunity for you to access home care funding from either your Local Authority or Clinical Commissioning Group. In these cases, we work with the funding body to get the support you need in place and give you a better quality of life at home.

Speak to one of our friendly advisers for a full picture of the costs and funding options. We’re here seven days a week to take your call.
